Longeviti Wins Contract That Moves It Forward Strategically

New demands, new skill sets to be a part of the contract and company’s growth plan.

Sterling, VA – Longeviti is proud to announce the Drug Enforcement Agency’s decision to award Longeviti with the Digital Evidence Analysis and Support Services contract, effective February 1, 2019. The contract is for one-base year and four option years. Forensic Examiner services are to be provided principally in Lorton, VA, with additional support in Utah and Texas.

Recognizing the digital revolution, DEA in October 1994, established a digital evidence program. The initial purpose of this program was to recover information of probative value from computers and magnetic storage media (diskettes, tapes and data cartridges.) However, the need of digital examination services has broadened both in scope and numbers. Presently, the DEA digital evidence program routinely processes a wide variety of computer evidence, including laptops, desktop computers, network servers, diskettes, backup tapes, and data cartridges (Iomega Zip and Jaz, Syquest, Bernoullis, magneto-optical, etc.) In fact, a seized computer doesn’t even need to be operational as long as the hard drive or magnetic storage media spins or can be made to spin. The motto of the program is “if it spins then it can be read.”

Currently, the DEA digital evidence program is processing almost every conceivable form of non-traditional digital storage device. Many of these do not “spin,” but rather hold the information in a volatile memory state and are powered by a limited battery power supply. Examples include answering machines, pagers, cellular telephones with memory functions, smart facsimile machines, copiers, network printers, electronic cash registers, digital cameras, navigational devices (such as GPS), pocket digital assistants (commonly referred to as a pocket organizer or electronic rolodex), palm-top computers, and digital watches which contain name and phone number data. This expansion of DEA’s computer forensic support services is a reflection of the broader role that digital technologies have in today’s society.

Longeviti President and CEO, Brandon Long, stated that this is a very important win for the young company. “With this contract award, Longeviti moves from providing administrative services into specialized services; those frequently associated with hard-to-find skills in high-demand professions. It’s an important step in realizing our grand vision.”

Longeviti, LLC, is a well-regarded, 8(a), minority-owned services and solutions firm located in the District of Columbia metropolitan area (Sterling, VA) with ongoing support operations with the U.S. Army, Department of Homeland Security, and association with several other federal and state government agencies. It is also a certified vendor within Virginia’s Small, Women-owned, and Minority Owned (SWaM) program. It recently received CMMI Level 3 appraisal status for services and development in addition to being ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Longeviti Earns Virginia’s V3 Certification

Longeviti earns additional recognition as a services company committed to the Services.

Sterling, VA – As of March 1, 2018, Longeviti has been recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a certified Virginia Values Veterans (V3) program participant.

Virginia has long been leading the nation in working to improve the lives of veterans through gainful employment.  As noted on their website, in 2012 it became the first state to “create an official program dedicated to improving the employment of Veterans by training employers on national best practices to recruit, hire, train, and retain Veterans.”  Longeviti has joined that effort and been formally recognized as a valued participant actively pursuing those shared goals.

Continuing from the V3 website;

  • While Virginia ranks 12th among states in total population, it ranks 7th in total Veteran population and 4th in Veteran working-age population.
  • The V3 Program provides education, training, and connectivity resources to assist companies in the implementation of nationally recognized best practices in recruiting, hiring, and retaining a highly-skilled, well-educated, and easily trained leadership talent pool.
  • Virginia’s Veteran population can provide employers with valuable human resources that add tremendous experience, leadership, and integrity to an organization.

In response to this recognition, President/CEO Brandon Long commented:

“Once I learned about the V3 Program and how it benefits veterans, I was eager to participate.  What company wouldn’t?  Our veterans risk life and limb to protect this nation and I’m honored to be able to demonstrate my appreciation for their sacrifice by committing Longeviti formally to the cause of bettering their lives.”

Longeviti, LLC, is a well-regarded, 8(a), minority-owned and ISO certified services and solutions firm located in the District of Columbia metropolitan area (Sterling, VA) with ongoing support operations with the U.S. Army, Department of Homeland Security, Patent & Trademark Office, and association with several other federal and state government agencies.  It is also a certified vendor within Virginia’s Small, Women-owned, and Minority Owned (SWaM) program.
